Dr. Bartosz Wojszczyk is an experienced global business executive with companies from “start-up” to over $2 Billion USD annually. In his various leadership roles (CEO, CTO, SVP, Managing Director) he has led organizations in areas of energy business operations (network; design & engineering; sales, marketing); business development and regionalization; corporate strategy and transformation; technology innovation (R&D) and commercialization.
Dr. Wojszczyk is a recognized industry expert in the areas of utility operations, design & engineering (T&D); smart grids; renewable & distributed generation; advanced protection; distribution and substation automation; energy storage and e-transportation.
Dr Wojszczyk has authored 30 papers and co-authored 3 books (“Electric Power Substation Engineering”; “Smart Grids: Infrastructure, Technology, and Solutions”; “Electrical Transmission Systems and Smart Grids”). He was also the lead author of the following industry reports:
•“Technology Roadmap – Smart Grids” developed by the International Energy Agency (IEA).
•“Technology Actions Plan – Smart Grids” developed by the Major Economic Forum on Energy and Climate (MEF) for the G20 Summit in Copenhagen.

Dr. Wojszczyk has served as a subject matter expert and advisor for strategy development and roadmaps of modern energy infrastructures and advanced technologies for governments and energy stakeholders globally (e.g. Europe - Poland, UK, Romania, Russia; the Asia-Pacific - Australia, S. Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Myanmar; and the Americas - US, Canada, Brazil, Chile). Additionally, he has led many utility transformation and customer engagement initiatives.
As an active member of the IEEE Power & Energy Society and IEEE-USA Energy Policy Committee, he presently serves as Technical Program Chair of IEEE Energy Development & Power Generation Committee, Chair of IEEE International Practices Subcommittee and Secretary of the IEEE Distributed Generation & Energy Storage Subcommittee. He is a member of the DistribuTECH Advisory Committee USA, the Smart Grid Advisory Board for the International Energy Agency (IEA) and POWER-GEN Asia.
Dr. Wojszczyk has been a keynote speaker, invited presenter and a panellist at a number of business/executive summits, energy events and technical conferences in the Americas, Europe and the Asia-Pacific. He was (is) a corporate spokesperson in the areas of technical subject matter expert, technology, innovation and energy trends, industry transformation (e.g. CNBC, Bloomberg, DW-TV, etc.).
He has a MS, and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland.
He is an Adjunct Professor at University of North Carolina in Charlotte, USA and a Visiting Professor at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland.

For the last 6 years Greg has been the GM of Business Strategy & Planning for Eskom located in South Africa. Before that he held the position of GM of R&D for Eskcom where he managed organizational R & D related to all aspects of power generation and impact on systems, environment and people. Most of the Research and Development looked at incremental innovation related to R & D however around 10 percent focused on high risk high return programs.
